In 1980, Gordon Geoffrey (Jeff) Piers-Turner arrived in Switzerland with a wealth of experience in the alternate and natural healing professions and an international reputation as a public speaker, motivator, seminar leader and trainer. He was also a producer of training programs for health and safety. There was a special interest in personality profiling and he had in his repertoire, a system he devised in order to evoke personal growth, improve interpersonal relationships and expedite human resource placement. The plan was to stay six months and establish a European base for the American firm he was representing and to continue his healing work in the fields of Osteopathy, Chiropractic and Naturopathy. The firm left and the healing professions were restricted in so many ways that Geoff (Jeff) was unable to practice that which made his reputation in the first place. Yet he stayed. During the twenty years he has remained here, a lot has happened!
Not all of Switzerland's business was in tune with, or had even heard of such things as executive stress, personality profiling and assessment. This was why the American sponsor pulled out of Europe; business wasn't 'instant' enough. Geoff (Jeff) decided to remain and do what he could to start a new life. Because of past experiences and successes he fell naturally into show business.
If you don't already know it, Jeff Turner became after a short period, Switzerland's and later European, No. I Country Singer & Songwriter. He has earned six gold and one platinum album (records & CD's). He has appeared on national and international television countless times and is now also well known as a musical star and composer. His compositions have been performed bySwiss and international stars to enthusiastic audiences everywhere including the great concert stages of the country.
In the spare time allowed him, Gordon Turner has:
- Maintained reading and interest in all areas of healing, both physical and mental.
- Re-developed and honed his own 'Reflection' system of personality identification as well as creating a more comprehensive results and feed-back system, allowing much more accuracy in placing people and building teams.
- Written and published a book through Orell Fuessli entitled ‘Der Charisma-Faktor’
- Developed techniques to replace the manipulation he was prohibited to do by the Chiropractic Society (unless he went to America and did it all over again… their way).
A less rigourous music performance schedule means that he is able again to be available to follow the path he was born to follow… that of teaching and helping people with all the therapies and skills he has learnt over the years.
