Osteopathy/Osteopathie

Turner Osteopathy Practice (TOP) has now reached its sixth birthday. Our methods, based on traditional Osteopathy with some added techniques proven to be beneficial to the patient have been so successful that patients are experiencing relief to problems they have suffered for years, sometimes most of their lives. Of course there are always the accidents, sports injuries etc. (acute problems) that turn up on a daily basis. There are the 'dauer' patients who want to remain free of problems and so come on a regular basis in order to ensure no return of their malady.


2000 Clients

In the first five years, we  treated over two thousand individuals with a variety of health problems. Primarily, people come with back pain, neck restriction and headache with all the symptoms associated with them. Virtually every aspect of the human body has been treated and every related malady from arthritis and rheumatism to injuries from sport or industry. 

Expansion of Technique and Results

During this time we have expanded in space, personnel and service. More importantly however, the introduction of new amazing techniques have allowed us to reduce your 'down time' caused by debilitating backache, sciatica, headaches and migraine attacks. Even more astounding is the number of people who have become pain free and in particular have avoided major operations, primarily on their spine.

The Australian Connection

Several of the techniques that are so successful come from Australian sources where I received my doctorates in both Osteopathy and Chiropractic back in 1973. More recently we have learned taken other methods from 'down-under' and expanded on them here in Switzerland, notably the 'Klotz', a derivation of work by a renowned Sydney and London physiotherapist. Another method for freeing up low back and relieving  sciatic problems  is 'The Walk of Life' a technique of my own from an idea by a brilliant Australian Naturopath.

Modern Manipulation

All of these developments have made it possible to virtually eliminate the thing that many patients fear the most... impact or 'impulse' manipulation, the type that is still very much part of the chiropractor's toolkit as well as traditional osteopaths trained in the American, Canadian and French way. It is sometimes necessary for certain cases but for the most part, such traumatic experiences can be avoided. The techniques used by TOP could be termed Modern Manipulation and we have hundreds of (ex)patients who swear by it!
